For Friends Facing Grief, Injustice, and Crisis
Introduction:
This intercession was written by someone holding space for multiple hurting hearts. A terminal illness, a miscarriage, a legal battle, and the fatigue of carrying these burdens have all been brought before God in one prayer. We join them today—interceding for peace, healing, wisdom, and strength, not just for those in crisis, but for the one who carries the weight of intercession.
Guided Prayer:
Gracious Father,
Today we come to You with arms full of sorrow—burdens that don’t belong to just one person, but to many. And yet You are the God who holds them all. You never grow weary. You never turn away. You never forget a name, a tear, or a silent cry.
First, Lord, we lift up the one who is preparing to say goodbye. A loved one has received a terminal diagnosis, and time feels fragile. In the face of this final season, we ask for a peace that passes understanding. Wrap this family in Your arms. Let the process of release be drenched in dignity, love, and supernatural comfort. Let there be moments of laughter amidst sorrow. Let old wounds be healed before the final breath. And let this soul pass from this life into Your glory with calm assurance that You were waiting with open arms. Still, LORD, if You will, let them pass from the expectation of death, to miraculous healing and restoration. You are the God who raises the dead to life, and brings restoration and healing to the dying. Your will above all be done.
Next, Lord, we cry for the one who lost a child through miscarriage. The ache is invisible to many, but known fully by You. Hold this heart close. Heal the body, yes—but also the soul. Let no shame linger. Let no question remain unanswered in a way that crushes hope. Let this loss be honored, not hidden. And may Your presence become the safe place for healing to begin.
For the one entangled in a difficult court proceeding—a mother fighting to be heard—send justice, LORD. Let truth rise. Let manipulation fall flat. Surround her with advocates who care, attorneys who see her heart, and favor that can’t be explained. Let the system not consume her spirit. Let her find rest, even as she fights.
And finally, LORD, for the one who carries all these burdens: give them rest. They are stretched thin emotionally, physically, spiritually. Let Your strength be their strength. Let their prayers move heaven. Let them feel held as they hold others. And remind them—they are not alone.
God, You are big enough to carry all this. So we place it at Your feet and trust You to move in power.
In Jesus’ compassionate and mighty name,
Amen.
